I have been thinking of uprading the bios of an old system I have with a bios from esupport http://www.esupport.com/global/
the motherboard is an old MS-6119 and although I have updated it to the latest on Microstars web site it still has limits as to hard drive size etc. Now esupport claim that there bios uprades will allow more features such as support for larger disks and other features not present with the old bios. Is this a load of tosh or do there bios upgrades really work. Only someone who has used this service can really help me answer this question but all comments welcome.

I did this with an ESupport BIOS. Other than attempting to install certain drivers for the motherboard and not having it work, it was ok.

The question is Nocturnal ,did it improve anything, did you get larger disk support etc for your motherboard? Was it worth the money? I would be interested in your opinion.

This is now all academic as I have had a reply from said company saying that they dont have a newer bios for my board, even though the last one was released over two and a half years ago. not quite what the web site implies. I think there support is for older boards.never mind, saved myself $29.99

Broadkipa- Might want to see if Jan Steunebrink would modify the latest BIOS available for your board to support hard drives larger than 128GB, like he has for many Socket-7 boards.

Worst he can say is No...
