I have been using my 56k modem ever since I moved into my new apartment. Well, my roommate and I decided that a faster connection would be needed. Currently Intermedia @Home here in the Nashville, TN area is offering the servivc for $29.95 a month with the first month free. That doesn't include the modem rental. Which leads me to my questions...
1) First of all, does anyone here have experience with the Intermedia cable serive in terms of a net connection? What speeds are you getting?
2) Should I purchase a modem or rent it? Is there a specific modem I need to look for (one that is better than another)?
