Anyone upgrading their iPad Air to iPad Pro 9.7?

The new screen and general operating smoothness are a huge improvement, but my concern would be the longevity of the new iPad with its 2GB of RAM. I would prefer for the new iPad to last a while...

I contemplated it but I'm passing mostly based on the camera bump. I don't want or need a camera on a tablet and I don't want a case on the tablet and size and balance are not perfect with it back there.

Keeping the Air 2 for now.

Not going to upgrade from my Air 2 - for my main use cases (reading, browsing, watching videos, photos etc.) the additional value would be marginal while the cost would be substantial, so no.

I actually did just do it the other week when Best Buy had the 128gb for 599, I came from the Air 32gb (1st gen). At first I was hesitant because didn't seem like it would be worth it but it proved to be in the end. I needed more space but turns out the new speakers / screen / and speed are tremendous improvements over the 1st gen air, also handy to have Touch ID. I very rarely use the cameras on an iPad but I guess it's nice to know the quality will match my 6S if I do!

No 4GB, no thanks.

Note though, I don't have the Air. I have the Air 2 (two of them actually).

Yeah, wouldn't be very substantial coming from an Air 2, an Air 1, oh yes. Unless you really need the pencil lol

I've been tempted, but a new iPad is admittedly fairly low on my list of gadget upgrade priorities. I'm planning to upgrade my phone and laptop this fall, and I should seriously consider upgrading my camera and TV as well.

The absence of 4GB of RAM wouldn't be a showstopper for anyone coming from the original Air or earlier, though. After all, those had 1GB of RAM or less -- 2GB is an expansive canyon of freedom in comparison.

i have 3 air 2 and the 12" pro. There isn't enough new tech to go from air 2 into the 9.7 pro. I do like the higher res fwd camera but how often do you use it.

I wait till my air 2 starts to randomly crash and trade it in
