Anyone upgrade from SQL 7.0 to SQL2000?

Our company is transitioning from ISP web and data hosting to bringing it all in house. Currently we are all NT4 / SQL7. I suggested it might be easier to build our new servers with Win2K from ground up and use IIS5, SQL2000 etc from the start.

So, anyone else done this and knows it was ither easy, terrible, or somewhere in between? Microsoft's propaganda says you could do it in your sleep, but I am always weary of their marketing. Any insights are appreciated, thanks.
