Anyone undervolt their 2500K/2600K?

How much can you undervolt your SB while keeping it at stock speeds? This can be pretty useful for HTPC/silent pc usage due to lower heat output and lower fan speeds. Also, what do you think is the best method to test stability of undervolted CPU, still prime95?

The single most stressful task for SB right now is probably LinX running on Windows SP1 and with the correct libraries so the new AVX instructions are being used. But based on my own testing and reports from different forums, you may also need to run the various Prime95 tests and actual applications/games to get a true sense of stability.

To test for stability, I just run P95 and do what I usually do; surf, listen to music, video editing..
If I have no hangs or crashes, I'm good to go.

P.S. The Intel data sheet says the vid range is 0.025v - 1.52v ..
That would be crazy if one of these chips ran at .025...

That is only what you can PROGRAM the vid to be. And is not any minimum or maximum for the chip. Obviously it wont run at 0.025V and 1.52V is way to high for a 32nm chip.

Do Intel cpu's have a separate voltage selection for the memory controller ?

I ran stock at -0.15V offset here. Going lower seemed to cause instability with idle voltages.

IMO using the "offset" is better than just manually setting voltages because if you manually set, then it will stay at that voltage. However, with EIST enabled the CPU will dynamically undervolt and underclock itself down to under 1v and around 1.6GHz. If you use an offset, then it will still be able to undervolt itself dynamically, just even lower.
