Does anybody out there know what a 'media white point tag' is in an ICC Profile? If so, read on please...

I need to know how to change the reference in the tag from 5000K to 6500K. This issue is a Red Herring... an enigma! Photoshop is displaying images through a well calibrated display with a white point of 6500K, but is yellowing my proofing because it is reading the 'media white point tag' set at 5000K. Resulting in mismatch between screen and printed output.

Mac Intel 2.66/Quad running 10.6.4

Monitor is NEC2690 WUXIe2, Calibrated with SpectraView II, 6500K, Gamma 2.2, Luminance 90 Cal/M2, ICC v2

Printing on Epson 7800 using Colorbytes ImagePrint v7

Any takers

'media white point' describes the color of the unprinted paper, when it is illuminated by a 5000K light source.

i.e. Pure white paper would appear similar to a monitor at 5000K when illuminated by a 'standard' (D50 or 5000K) light source.
