anyone try to make their t40 into a G-ready?

has anyone tried to remove the internal 802.11b and replace it with an 802.11g? or has everyone just stuck with using an external card for this? just wondering if it was possible.

The internal 802.11b is just a mini-pci card. You can replace it with a 802.11g mini-pci card.

IBM states that there is some sort of propriety thing going on with their wireless miniPCI slots, and only miniPCI cards purchased through them will work.

I haven't heard of anyone saying they tried a card from another manufacturer and saying they work yet.
