A DTR at 2.2GHz, but already running 1.65v default?

I don't see this getting any higher than the 1.45v 2x00+ Bartons, and it's definitely not worth the $50 premium.

I agree. That thing is a waste of money from the looks of it. It's already running the stock voltage of it's desktop counterpart.

If it can't like my 8kha+, you may still be able to get some loving by using CrystalCPUID or something else of it's ilk. Search the web for it.

Don't you see, though? All mobiles are basically capable of hitting 2.2+GHz now and they all default to 6x multiplier in desktop mobos. The higher multiplier of the 3000+ is meaningless to you because you'll have to manually adjust the multi anyway! Buying one of these 3000+ DTRs is just throwing money away.

While interesting, I think its higher cost will make it unattractive. Aside from cost, the barton mobiles are hitting their max of approximately 2.6ghz with air on average, no matter which model one gets, assuming one with a lower model has a great overclocker. Unfortunately, this chip won't be able to go any higher, and if it's running on stock barton voltage already, I don't think it will have much use as a low voltage chip, either. If they release a non DTR, 1.45v version, that may be nice for cases of the latter.
