Anyone try Net2Phone or DialPad?

Are these services worth bothering with? Free long distance sounds intriguing, but is the sound quality decent? What kind of headset/microphone setup works well? I have DSL, so connection speed shouldn't be a problem..

dialpad works great.

oh, make sure you have a headset or some headphones, and set your main speakers on mute, so the other end doesnt hear an echo.

I've used DialPad and it's been perfect. You shouldn't have any problems with your DSL connection.

Do I just need a basic headset w/boom mike and 3.5mm plug? What's with the two-plug setups? Pardon my ignorance, but I couldn't figure out how that worked.
