okay, i'll reword this so it doesn't sound like an advertisement. i won a $200 visa gift card at Gamevance for getting the high score on one of their games and wanted to see if anyone else here has used the site or is interested.

It's just a game site that has free games and tournaments but makes you download adware that is designed to give you popups based on your web use. However, they do give out really good prizes for the daily winners so i put it on my old computer. It says it takes 30-60 days to ship so I'll post if I actually get it. Anyone else playing there?

um...did you read his post?

um... did you?

All he said is he won a tourney, and that he had to download some sort of spyware / trojan. What kind of game was the tourney? What other games are there? Link?

Well, seeing as how I don't want to register or download shit, I think a brief synopsis of whatever games he was playing would be good, in addition to what kinds of games are offered. You can't look at the games on the site without registering, and the site reeks of bullshit.

According to the site they have given away $926,942 already.

Did you read what I just posted? I went to the site. The games you win money from require you to register. They claim to have given out nearly a million in prizes. There's a picture of a somewhat attractive girl on the site with the caption along the lines of she won three times.

So in other words, google gets you to the site. It doesn't tell you anything about winning.

Why do you think that google will give me more information than a first-hand account of an actual winner? I'd defiantly trust an ATer with 1k+ posts far more than random google results that could very well be falsified to get more people to sign up.

I simply asked OP for more info. No, actually somebody else did, and pontifex came back with a useless answer. This isn't OT.

So how bout you G-O-O-G-L-E "my hairy ass" + "french kissing"? ;)

edit2:

Thanks, but once again, I'd rather hear a first hand account than read something on some game-for-money-for-free site.

they mainly have clones of popular flash games. today there are two of those bubble popping games, two random luck spin-wheel games, one awful ddr clone, an fps-type shooting game where you are stationary and shoot targets, and a shape/color matching puzzle game.

as for legitimacy, i actually do believe that i'll get the card. they require all users to have a picture up and if you get a prize and want another you have to post a pic of the yourself with the prize(s) you have won, so you can see plenty of users who have received prizes. it is clear in the terms that you're downloading adware and it seems to me that it would work as a business model. Netwinner(bad) and Moola(good) seem to run fine off advertisements only. the site is ugly and laggy, but they do have a real-time system speed check for the games so you can't gain an advantage with a really slow or really fast computer, which is something i hadn't seen anywhere else.

on what grounds? do you see a referral link anywhere? i'm not advertising their site, just letting people know the facts, since it's a popular site and i found no previous post about it. they have free games with good prizes and the price is keeping their adware installed. i didn't have any trouble uninstalling it btw.
