I got this XP 2000 I want to put in my motherboard. But I think I have the 1.0 version:( (support only to Athlon 1.4GHz)

Will it screw up the mobo if I tried flashing the 1.3 bios? Also what would happen if I stick the XP2000 in this old motherboard. Will it post?

Since they BIOS files on the ABIT site have different names for these mobos, I personally wouldn't try it.

I think it should have a sticker giving the mobo revision on the lowest PCI socket.

It likely will. The 2000+ is 1670MHz = 12.5x 133. I have an XP working in a KT7 (at 20x 100). To get multipliers over 12.5 you have to do some modding.

I wouldn't bother with the upgrade to the V1.3 bios, you should be able to run the 2000+ on your board using the latest pre-V1.3 bios (A9). I upgraded my pre-V1.3 KT7A to the latest V1.3 bios but it didn't have any noticable effect.
