i just upped a 1.8 (975X chipset) hp to 2.4ghz no voltmods, no cooling changes. rock solid. the 975X only supports 1066fsb last time i checked (could be wrong) and i don't need any more power since its a htpc and 2.4ghz is the sweet spot where it can coreavc decode any high def with brute cpu power or use the 8600 GT OC purevideo hd if the player participates with the drivers (aka power dvd ultra 7.3).

some reason haali .mkv wrapped files don't work so hot with powerdvd and definitely do not work well with the media portal player. if you play the file unwrapped (from mkv) then it uses hardly any cpu. must be some haali/player issue.
