Anyone try 4K DSR yet?

I tried running 4K DSR (aka 7680x4320 resolution) on Mass Effect 3 and for some reason it looks terribly blurry compared to native res (3840x2160), in addition to horrendous performance (18 fps with DSR vs 60+ at UHD). Is it just me is DSR just an inefficient AA method?

You can probably turn down the blur pretty substantially if you're running an integer multiple of the number of pixels on your screen.

Mine is set at 15% and it's perfect.

Works well with Diablo 3, WoW, Divinity: Original Sin, Hearthstone (card drawings are surprisingly detailed and vivid) but look shitty and have hellish mouse lag in Witcher 2 and DA:I...

Don't get 4k DSR but the experience has been trivial enough from game to game i only bother using it when i game on my 26'' 720p t.v.That gets a effective 2732x1536 i believe.Unusable in WOT due to text and BF3's hud ends up to small.BO2 looks so good too.

WOT is a odd game,it doesn't work with any form of DSR but the Battlefield games look amazing with it.2732x1536+0MSAA looks miles more amazing then the 768p+4xMSAA in BF4

Huh. I tried DSR out a while back, and I think I got it working with WOT, it was just that the UI scaling is basically non-existent.

Text in the game ends up looking horrific for me,looks as if i had hooked up a hdmi cable and forget to adjust the clear type. That kind of horrible.Damn shame cause the game would look amazing but the UI scaling doesn't work either.

Only game that with that issue, others suffer from hud or terrible performance issues lol.A 770 powering 2732x1536 in BF4 is not ideal.😀

I enabled DSR, but the highest I can go is 3200x1800. I've two 2560x1440 panels, and each won't go higher than that. Any reason why?

I did a little in DAI at 1800p, didn't see much visual difference. Just a drop in frame rate vs 1440p.

What GPU do you have? I think DSR is limited by the features of each model - not identical across the board.

R9 290X. I would think that AMD's single GPU flagship would support all the DSR features? 😕

AMD's version is called VSR, and you're at your max right now with your 290X.

I tried out DSR in several titles. It can help quite a bit on titles that don't support regular MSAA / SSAA. It looks great when combining with regular AA.

How's your luck been with UI scaling? A prime candidate for it just doesn't work for me because the UI gets unusably small.
