I have a thermaltake mini copper orb hsf combo. I put a 60mm fan on top of the heatsink blowing air onto it. So now i have two fans blowing on to the processor. My cpu temp went down about 1.5 degrees celsius 🙂 Any reason not to do this?

the combination of fans you used must have matched up in just the right way (CFM/rpm) for it to do any good.
congrats on the 1.5c decrease.
people have tried putting fans on top of fans, but sometimes one fan is too strong for the other and the CFM just disappears... rusulting in some shocking temperatures when you check your temp. monitor. :Q

there is some seperation between the fans since the heatsink fan is mounted within the heatsink. The fan I added on top of the heatsink seems to push more air than the other(its the fan from my retail t-bird heatsink) Anyone know the cfm of this fan?

that HSF is pretty weak for a 1.4ghz system. Do you play games? I would be very surprised if you dont get freezes and the like.
