This is interesting:

So the point is that you point this think to a resistor that is specified by a schematic for a spesific video card and since the device it attached to a screw on the - which is naturally grounded -- the resistor value is then dramatically lowered thus increasing the voltage going to the chip...

i have my 8800-GTS-512 overclocked as per my sig - i have gone 10-+15% higher than that but it was sporadically unstable, so who has stable numbers i can compare to to see how much hiigher this card can go ?

also aside from bios flashing and volt modding anyone tried this little mod to push their cards further ?

i have spoken to this gentleman and he says the extra heat generated is only 7-10C, The mod can be applied to SLI but its only available for nVidia cards - ATI is in development stage...he says its sturdy and will not short out anything ... seems kind of a cool NEW mod i can do right ????????

I met the actual guy who makes this stuff in person and thats how i initially found out about this thing...like it or not it IS a voltmod tool without the soldering for those of us who dont want to solder...

but anyways regardless of the cost and simplicity of the tool, its not like any one else came up with that idea and made it work....

anyways , what i want to know is this :

HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY TRIED IT ? RESULTS ? BENCHMARKS ? THOUGHTS ?

Anyone who would even consider spending $60 on a 5¢ piece of wire, crimped to a 5¢ connector shouldn't even be allowed to tie their own shoes, much less let out into the general population.

edit: Oh yeah, I forgot about the 10¢ resistor.

And yet...these are the people voting for our next president...

Cheerful thought, no?
