anyone tried that pill that prevents hangovers?
I've tried it a few times. I'm a fairly heavy drinker so the commercials caught my interest. Whenever I took it I made sure to have at least 6 drinks...and, well, I *think* I felt better the next day than I would have. You can never be too sure. It might just be psychological.
I think they have a free sample or something, so you can try that if you're curious. I would personally just recommend the following when drinking:
1) Have a good night's sleep beforehand
2) Make sure you have a lot of food that day
3) Try to drink half a glass or a glass of water WITH every drink. That doesn't mean taking six shots and then drinking six waters...it means taking a shot, drinking some water, another shot, water, etc.
4) It helps if you're only drinking clear liquors (assuming you're sticking to hard alcohol). Even better is if you stick to higher-quality alcohol, like Belvedere or Ketel or something. They're much cleaner and you'll definitely notice the difference the next morning.
5) Make sure you have some cold water and greasy food available to you as soon as you wake up. Personally, I'll usually wake up after 3 or 4 hours (if I drank a lot) because the alcohol's passed through my system and I'll feel like crap. I'll drink some water and eat some food and go back to sleep, and wake up a few hours later feeling fine.
So Chaser may or may not work, I'm still not sure after having taken it a few times. The other stuff works pretty well for me, though.
Oh, and whoever said take tylenol - only if you want tiny holes burned into your liver.
