Anyone tried Saitek Gaming Keyboard?

I am thinking about getting that Saitek Gamers Keyboard from Newegg. It looks pretty awesome and comfy, plus that nice cool blue glow will compliment my modded Aspire case. It is funny, and I did not intend for it to happen, but between my case, mouse, video card, extra case fans, and even my USB hub, I have a great blue/green light show in this area of my house. Anyhow, before I get too off-topic, has anyone played around with this keyboard, or better yet....does anyone own one?

Although I don't have that keyboard,I can comment on the X-45 Joystick/Throttle control units.
Basically good quality, mega function stuff and judging by the J/S I have I'd say you couldn't go too wrong with that keyboard/control pad.In fact I'm almost presuaded to grab it just for shits & giggles.Looks nice.
My main issue would be key function i.e. positive click etc. And I do prefer the natural type keyboards.Been using 'em since '96 and wouldn't really want to convert back.
Of course at work I have no choice but to use the supplies regular kb's and I always "fumble fingers" upon returning to work after a weekend off.
IMHO natural keyboards should be a standard.

Pretty cool looking but no I have never seen this before.

However your request intriqued me so I read up on the web and there seems to be quite a few good reviews.

Gizmodo

Tom's Hardware

PCGameworld

However does look like thier software may have some compatibility issues with certain games

Also looking at that extra control pad it looks pretty lackluster, and being that it has a properatary port that will not let you use it without that specific keyboard makes it even less appealing to me.

For gaming I love my Belkin N52 so I would reccomend using that and then if you really must have an illuminated keyboard it looks like NewEgg has some other alternatives that are slightly less expensive.

Just another opinion take it or leave it ;) Good luck in your quest for a new keyboard!

If you are just going for the lighting, here is an illuminated keyboard for around $30 shipped.

i picked one up and really like it. i turn the light off though. it hasa real good feel and doesn't act like it was made for typing. it feels more like what you would want for a gaming keyboard. the programable keypad is cool too.
read problems with it and battlefront, but i have yet to hava problem with it and any game yet.
