Anyone tried Red Stripe beer?

Its pretty good, not my favorite but more than drinkable.

my theory is (and i have done extensive testing on this) that any beer that deviates from a standard brown bottle is not very good.

for example....

any thing in a green bottle (yes, heiniken sucks too... its just another mass produced beer made with lots of corn sugar instead of malted barley)
any thing in a short brown bottle (redstripe is in this category)
any thing in a clear bottle




The exception that makes this rule is that belgium beers don't count. those are all good.

Red Stripe was my first legal beer, at The Five Spot in Seattle, during the week when they were doing Jamaican-themed food.

 

It's like Jamacian Budweiser. Yuck.

I am really hooked on Negra Modello right now. It's a Mexcian dark beer. You drink it with a lime. So damn good.

plenty of good european beers come in brown bottles. Like bass, belhaven, and a couple of germans that I can't remember how to spell.

I'm not a beer drinker (hate the taste), but I've been curious about Red Stripe since I read about it in "The Firm".
