Does it really work plus save time or is it just as good to just walk in like I normally do ?

I guess I could text my wife instead just asking her for a haircut, that would count but probably (certainly) taken longer than just asking.

How much do you all even pay for haircuts around there if you go to a barber or beauty salon ?

how long do you normally have to wait?

if wait time is less than 15 minutes, you're unlikely to gain anything

otherwise, give it a shot. it will hardly make you wait longer

The last paid haircut I got, at a small barbershop near my house, was $16. That was seven years ago. I think he charges $18 now.

No. I just stopped by Lady Jane's Haircust for Men in Clearwater without an appointment and waited about 5 minutes. Cool place. Looks like a man cave. Had my long hair cut short. :)

I don't understand.

My housemate cuts my hair. She thinks it's "fun" and I don't know why, but hey, free haircut.

Just shave your head and be a man. :D

Otherwise just make an appointment and show up on time and if they make you wait a long time find another place.

When I'm in haircut mode, I make an appointment, show up 5 minutes early, wait MAYBE 10-15 minutes tops, (usually less than 5) get haircut.
Haven't done that since.......May 2017, so I don't know what the current haircut costs...last one was $16 with my senior discount :p

Yes, I've done the online check-in, and so far it's been pretty good. Regular price there is $16, but they did a thing last year where if you got what's basically a gift card, hair cuts loaded on it were $11, so I put enough on it for six haircuts or so. And then tips, of course...

Yes

I'd check in online, and then by the time I got there I usually didn't even have to wait and went right to a chair

The online app seems to more help me identify which locations are busy. I don't go until it says 10-15mins wait to begin with and I check in anyway. I typically get service within 5 mins of arriving.

I go to a local Great Clips and they have online check-in via their app. That gets you a place in line but if you take too long they'll give up your spot. I think it's really useful, especially if the estimated wait time is 45 minutes or something. You can check-in, do something for about 40 minutes (travel to store, fap, etc), and show up and be taken in in just a couple minutes usually.

I think my haircut is $10... or $12. I dunno, one of those I think. I was using a credit card they have where you can put money on it and it discounts your haircuts. Need to get that mofo filled up again with money now that I think of it.

I have not been to a barber since 1989. I cut my own hair. When I did go I used to go to Astor Place Hairstylist in the East Village NYC. Never waited on line there. My son still goes there.

the ATOT is strong in this thread.

I book reservations with my person online. I show up on time, she bangs out my cut in 30 minutes, throws in a shoulder massage, and I give her $40; repeat the process in 3-4 weeks.

Mine charges $16 right now and has been cutting for years. I always feel guilty tipping him only $4-6 dollars. I go every other month.

Oh, I rarely wait, but when I do it is never more than 5-10 minutes at the most.
