Anyone tried DirectX 8 ?

No improvements are really apparrent yet, but there weren't any problems either, which is good 😀
New drivers will be out soon taking advantage of some of the new features.
 
It's final from Microsoft.
The drivers will be from your hardware vendors.
Thier drivers have to take advantage of the new features before you can use them.
 
The latest drivers for the V5/4 are compatible to DX8, I don't know if it helps at all, but they're there if you wanted to know.
 
I know it is available, but would like to find out if people find a great improvement over DX7 ..

You won`t see any improvements until future games take advantage of all the extra features just like graphics cards, anyway I`ve DX8 installed & it seems stable with no apparent differences between older versions at present.
