Hello,

I found a few articles saying you can connect Macs to each other via thunderbolt but I can't find any how to's on connecting two PCs together although from what I've read it should be possible. Anyone try it? I am currently saturating a 10gbit connection between my PCs but I'm about to build a new server and so my two main PCs will both have thunderbolt 3 ports on them. I'm wondering if I could get better speed or if the ip emulation will slow down the potential throughput of the thunderbolt which is in theory faster than 10gb/s Ethernet.

Speed seems not 40Gbps though.

Well, thunderbolt can only achieve 10Gbps for networking.

Hell yes. In fact, I connected a whole rack. It was weird - the lights flickered, and I heard something over the PA about "termination."

Then Sarah from accounting came in and threw the kill switch in the data center, shot my boss three times in the head, and ran away on the back of some leather daddy's motorcycle. Definitely a weird day.

Don't quite get Dave's humor. You just watched Terminator series movies?
