Anyone tried a different shell?

I was looking through some windows customization sites, saw a load of different shell types, anyone use anything other than the main windows shell or ever tried any?

Cheers,

I don't know how they got the 3 shells to work in Demolition man, I tried 3 shells of my own, but it was just too damned messy. That said, I'll never try shells again. 😛

I messed around a bit with LiteStep and Aston, but really didn't see anything in either that made them any more useful than the standard Explorer shell. Generally speaking, they don't seem to be as polished as Explorer. On the other hand, the KDE and Gnome/Metacity desktop environments for linux are very impressive. Part of the problem in Windows is the lack of a decent file manager. (Explorer sucks ass as a file manager...)

Can you point out any significant features the shells have in your experience?

Ideally i'm looking for something jazzy and easy to use with a lot of features.

Cheers 🙂
