Anyone tried a 2400+ on an Epox 8k7a?

I'd like to upgrade my proc from a Tbird 1400 to one of those snazzy new 2400+'s. Anyone tried it on an 8k7a? I have a Rev 1.0 of the board, which, according to Epox, supports Tbred 2200+'s.

I'm trying to avoid getting the proc, having it not work, and being forced to eat a 15% restocking fee for returning it. Any advice would be helpful.

Newegg has had them on their front page all weekend...I ordered one to play with on my 8K5A2+...until the Epox 8RDA+ (Nforce2) is out...;)

If anyone's interested, I found the answer to this. Several guys on the amdmb.com Epox forum have a rev 1.0 of this board and have succesfully used a 2400+ on it. You need a beta bios to get the CPU to be recognized properly, but even without the bios, the chip runs as it's supposed to. w00t :)
