Anyone think about using Windows 10 Enterprise edition to disable telemetry?

Been thinking about this for a while. I try to use Linux when I can, but unfortunately I cant give up windows altogether.

I know if you download windows 10 enterprise, it gives you a 90 day trial before you have to pay. I have no problem doing a fresh install every 90 days if I have to to avoid paying for enterprise (I currently own 4 activated windows 10 installs, so I have no qualms about doing this). Would this be possible to do?

Anyways, I just would like to hear what you all think of it.

If you already have 4 activated Windows installs, they've either already got oodles of data on you or you've got the telemetry blocked/disabled. So now sure how bringing Enterprise into the picture at this point in the game really matters.

I believe it can also be re-armed 2-3 times which takes you past 90 days.

The downside though is you won't be activated which means you won't get any updates. Enterprise keys can't be bought through any retail places either.

You just need to periodically update it and apply after every patch 🙁

I just disable the Connected User Experiences and Telemetry service. I basically have to because if I leave it running my machine will get stuck at shutdown. My guess is that this service is attempting to connect but the network service or driver has already been unloaded so it cant. So it just sits there, like code written by a high school sophomore. I am continually amazed by how incompetent this half a trillion dollar company can be.

So if youve ever skimped on security, you should abandon all effort to protect your privacy?

Anyway to disable watermark? Thats the only thing holding me back.

Just go into Services and disable it. It hasnt broken anything as near as I can tell. In fact it makes my machine shut down faster. I've seen this slow shutdown behavior on 4 separate Win 10 machines. Disabling this service fixes it every time.

Are any of these programs broken by the creators update? I thought I saw somewhere that programs like this were affected by the update.'

And which of these programs is the best? I know theres a bunch out there.

So far for myself and others that use it. But their end game is that they sell a lot of enterprise utilities - no login's or anything for the software download, so I think they a just being a good corporate citizen.

Ultimate Windows Tweaker is now at V 4.2.3 .... not sure if it does or does not work with Creators Update as my Toshiba has not yet updated to that. I am on Version 1607 Build 14393.1066 .. But the group at the Windows Club, who write that program, will likely make it work with Creator, if it does not already.
