Anyone that plays on Quake 3 Severs online can you join some of the quake 3 game severs right now a play on them ?

Curious if anyone can connect to the quake 3 game severs ? I am having a problem that i cant connect to any of them and i was able to a few days ago. Not sure what to do to fix this
I may have to reformat HD and reinstall windows

Any help is greatly appreicated

if you are running norton inet security, u have to disable it for it to work with Quake 3's newest bug, i mean patch.

at least thats what i had to do.

i am not. I dont run that. I am on win2k and did install the code red patch for win2k did that mess me up ?

it started happening today and installed the patch yesterday jsut to make sure.

i am so mad. i could play multplaying easily a few days ago. No problems

are you running a netgear router? the buzz in the q3 forums lately has been that people with this router have been unable to connect to games.

Do you get the "awaiting challenge..." thing to come up and never seem to connect? It happens to me

ok if i got to fix it spending 24 hours i will. I do have a Netgear RT314 Router but its not that i was playing on quake 3 severs just a few days ago just fine and been on this router for 2 to 3 months + with no ports opened.
So i know it works.

You also didn't need to patch your win2k install if you weren't running IIS.
