I believe some people went over to RC5/OGR rather than be forced to upgrade to the slower clients. I believe BK was one of those, and I think there were others. In any case, anyone who simply dropped SETI when 3.03 came out, please let us know here, too.

I can help with a few names

Odette is my mothers PC which is only on a little ,it is also just a Cel 300A @ 338,it already has v3.03.

Jlytle I believe works with someone who regularly posts here ,I think it could be Blade 47 ,JWM or maybe Ben 98 ,I'm 1/2 guessing here though.I do know where the answer to that question is ,it's in 1 of the race threads ,either the 1 I was in or the other race that was held a little earlier.

Kwhited went flatline before the client change ,I'm surprised he has stopped ,I'll see if I can prod him ,he's still about(I think) 😉

Narzy ,I seem to remember he had a problem with his SETI PC ,I'm sure he'll let us know soon 🙂

Realativity is an ICQ buddy of mine who I recruited 🙂 ,I've just sent him a message and I am awaiting a reply[edit] I've just looked at his stats & he's still active,though at a lower level than expceted🙁 [edit].Relativity is his other account that has been flatline since he joined us.

Sickle 584th is a recruite of Sukhoi's ,so we'll know soon about him

SlangNRox is an old member who runs SETI on an occasional basis ,I believe he mostly runs RC5 (if he could confirm/deny this🙂)
The above also applies to Stormgiant.

The Vrolok is a new member! ,I dunno what's happened their! 😕 ,but we should be able to contact him anyway

Didn't he go away on holiday or to Univercity for sometime? I seem to recall the thread alittle while ago saying goodbye for now.

Xerox man should be contactable somewhere on the forum ,but he very rarely comes here

ZF3361 switched back to RC5,GF or OGR shortly after our race to 1K last July

BTW ,where are these other threads you mention? ,could you post some links here please?
 
jlytle works with me. His production came from a bunch of machines he was 'testing' before moving them out to our sales offices. Unfortunately, those computers don't have enough memory to run SETI and the sales agents programs, so his production has dropped for a while. (I'm trying to talk him into running it on his home system (1.2Ghz Tbird) but he's gotta convince his wife... 🙂
 
I know I got the latest client. But I quit doing SETI and went back to RC5 till I can find a way to get passed the firewall at work. Otherwise. I will make sure I switch back to SETI when I can.

Does your firewall have port 5001 open? If it does, you could try pointing the clients to Orange Kid's proxy at orangekid.teamanandtech.com:5001 😀
