Anyone taking financial accounting?

I'm taking it as a requirement for MIS and this book is driving me nuts. I've read things over twice and still don't understand it. The teacher wants homework a week early before he lectures on it, and his office hours are nowhere to be found. I've read student evaluations and everyone gets by because of the curve. I actually wanna learn something though.

I hate this class.

I'm taking Intro to Financial Accounting this semester. It can be a little confusing but nothing has really stumped me yet.

BTW what book are you using? We are using Financial Accounting 8th edition by Needles/Powers. The book does a good job at explaining things.

I'm using Financial Accounting 5th Edition - Harrison/Horngreen

This book sucks. I think the only reason we're using it is because the teacher got a free evaluation copy of it.

Ohh, if you don't like that, wait till you take managerial if you have to 😉

or wait till you have to actually look at financial statements in real life 🙂

I sucked at financial and managerial accounting because I underestimated it.
But when I took intermediate accounting, I loved them and aced both of them 🙂
