Gravol is one of the name brands for the drug dimenhidrinate:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimenhydrinate

It's an over the counter anti nausea drug that lots of people use as a sleep aid as well. I used it off and on as a sleep aid for a while then noticed that taking 2-3 pills gave me a nice buzz. Anyone else had that experience? I DO NOT recommend taking much more than that though as it is a drug that people use to get high off of and from what I've read it can be a BAD high!

I used to find that taking tylenol PM with the diphenhydramine would cause me to wake up around midnight, extremely hungry and thirsty with my hands feeling numb?

No. There's plenty of real drugs to use to get a buzz. That shit is nasty. I've taken several to go to sleep and I can't imagine wanting to stay awake on it.

Nasty why? Like I said I've never taken more than 3 or so so I haven't felt anything really negative. Just a doppy numbish sort of buzz.

Benadryl (diphenhydraine) is actually prescribed as sleeping pill. It is considered non addictive because you quickly adapt and it loses its sedative effect.
If you don't do drugs or drink, like me, you can get very loopy on just the recommended dosage of Benadry.
