Why don't you just get one of those hair cell transplant procedures? That's the best I think, but it's probably expensive.

I had noticed my hair starting to thin out about a year ago. Doctor recommended I use a medicated shampoo. I now use Nizoral shampoo twice a week, and my thinning hair stopped thinning. I no longer find any hairs in the sink or in my brush. From other info I got, Propecia combined with regular use of Nizoral works really well to stop balding. Luckily, all I needed was a good medicated shampoo.

where is the best place to get the shampoo? Is it over the counter? How much is it?

EDIT: I see some 3 and 4 pack of bottles on ebay but I would like to buy 1 bottle from local store to start me off. unless its like $30 a bottle locally...

Hell. That's crappy as all hell. One takes medication to keep hair and remain attractive. Then in that effort sexual abilities are
hindered by the product completely rendering atractiveness pointless. Horrible.

I had a friend who was on Paxil. He quit taking it because it made him impotent. Now (a year later) he sais he's still not quite
at full capacity. Scary.......

Here in Canada you can get Nizoral from any drugstore. About $9 a bottle. No prescription needed. Instead of getting a prescription for Propecia, get a prescription for Proscar, which is covered my most health plans. Proscar is the active ingredient in Propecia. The same drug with a different name, and it's cheaper. You can also try Neutrogena T-Gel medicated shampoo.

Dude, don't listen to all the doom-sayers. Get Proscar and quarter the pills, cost is $20 a month vs. $50. Sexual side effects are very rare, certainly not a reason to not a least try it. Oh yah, avoid the internet boards like the plague and just get on with your life.

Bald is beautiful ... well.. looks nice on some folks. I'll look like crap when my hair totally goes away. I won't bother with the medication myself as I do not wish to delay the inevitable. I dont give a damn what anyone says.. If I look like crap bald then so be it.

One Proscar tablet is 5mg... quarter that and its 1.25mg... one Propecia tablet is 1mg... so yes it is. :D

You could even go generic and its a lot cheaper but I have no experience with that so I can't recommend it.

Anyway... if you want a forum for this topic just go here. :)
