Anyone successfully move an NTFS5 partition?

I want to shift my Win2K system partition about 1.5GB further into my hard drive. The partition itself is 3GB, meaning that there is some overlap from where the partition now lies and where I'd want it to lie.

Has anyone been able to successfully do such a thing? If so, what tool(s)?

I'm guessing that I can extend the existing partition to consume the additional 1.5GB, but I am far less confident in thinking that I could then shrink the partition, effectively giving me the shift I desire.

I have a second HD in the system formatted as FAT32. If I can ever war..., I mean acquire, Ghost 6.5, I'd likely try that first. I don't know if I have any other options (other than reinstall, no time for that).

I used Partition Magic 5, but I had to redo the boot record off of the CD afterwards, and then play with the registry to allow my drive letters to go back into place. Fun fun fun. :)

Thanks for all your help. I actually cheated a little and made room on a second hard drive. This allowed me to leave my NTFS volumes intact for the moment.

And I am || (this close) to getting Solaris 8 10/00 to run on this machine.
