anyone successfully install solaris?

downloaded the binaries today and tried to install it on my spare PC (Intel)
God, I thought BSD was hard, I really hate solaris' installation! i still
can't figure it out. Here's the layout.

1.6 GB HD -- Nothing else on it
I followed the step by step instructions by partitioning it, and the sucker can't
find its necessary slices. Then when I finally got it working, it reboots and says
bad PBR, or something like that. I'm reinstalling again. If it doesn't work this
time, I'm going to give up
