Did it help? Was it a relatively pain-free operation? I've ordered a Radeon and a blue orb to go with it (or i could put it to some other use..).

Anyone? Thanks.

K :) Although it would look pretty nice on there...

heh, as I said, I can definitely find another use for it. I probably won't even try to overclock my Radeon at first. It was a year before I overclocked my voodoo 3...

32meg DDR OEM version. I've read that I should be able to get it up to 183mhz. But I also read that with powerstrip, you're continuosly having to reset your overclocked settings each time you boot etc...which sounds like it's more hassle than it's worth. I can't see an extra 17Mhz making that much difference (correct me if I'm wrong).

Is it possible to overclock the radeon by other means?

i can run my radeon 64 meg ddr at 200mhz fine...although the ram is rated at 166

i run it at 195 constantly just to be on the safe side...over 200 i get some artifacts.

It makes a nice usable difference. You can have PS run at bootup automatically if you so desire. For now it's the only OC option.

I wish someone would make a simple OC tool for the Radeon-I dont want to use powerstrip.

There are attempts being made for an OC tool, it's not as easy as it sounds with the Radeon.
