I still use winzip, but I guess there's not really a point...win xp has zip built in. I don't do anything complex, just zip and unzip .zip files. is there any point to having winzip on there?

I still have winrar, but only use it for unpacking. I never pack stuff anymore.

I use WinRAR all the time as it tends to give better compression I've found.
When I play a game and finish it/get bored, I zip it up and delete the original directory to save some space.
HL2 save files can be shrunk to around 1/7th of original size when RARed up. UT2004 maps are also highly compressable.
Big space savings can be had.

I use winzip for zip files, and winrar for rar files.

I guess I could stop using winzip if I really had to, but there's no reason for me to stop using it.

I still use winzip, I find Windows versions of programs to be lacking in various ways vs. their competition, even when said competition is free (ie. FireFox).

I use XP's built-in tools except for large Zip files. If I'm dealing with large files I'll use WinRAR.

I second the 7 zip vote :) I am contemplating eliminating winrar entirely even though I rarely use it now... I love the extract files shell extension of 7 zip... I need to easily select where I want things extracted without opening up a program that's always going to have the wrong default directory

I started using the zip function in windows way back when I was stupid enough to get WinME. But I still always use winrar for rar files, though.
