Anyone still using a Nexus 7 2013 2nd gen

I had the same issue on my Nexus 5 when I was on Android 6.0.1
It seems to be a bug related to the WIFI
The 5 was mentioned in the link I posted. It's a horrible bug that some have. I turned my wifi on after my last post. The battery was at 96% and now it's at 65% without using the device.

I honestly don't use tablets often but I'll probably revert to 6.0 or older to see if it fixes the problem.

Funny you should bring this post.... We had original n7's and last week, I just bought two more 2013 (replacements) valentines gift for me and mine...

Just got one from Amazon, other will be here tomorrow... Don't have a case for it yet. I guess will get something later. Can't wait to start rocking marshmallow with these. Hopefully no problems. 🙂

Can't go wrong, I think I paid something like 135 for em, brand new, amazon just upped the price tho for them. The price always fluctuates.

I was about the pull the trigger on the N9's when they were 40% off. but even at 40% off ..... 2 came out to over 500 two n7's were less than 300 so... not that the price mattered, since I was reading reviews on both tablets and honestly, I think the N7 2013, is a bit better than the n9, from the reviews I've read.

The N9 is running the same SoC as the Shield Tablet K1, a $200 tablet.

If I were getting a new tablet today, it'd be the Shield Tablet K1 at lower prices, and a Pixel C for a premium product. With the existence of those two the N9 makes zero sense.

Picked up a 2nd gen N7 for my mom on glyde for Xmas last year. Got a 32GB model with only a small chip on the body corner (outside the screen), for $90 it was a steal. Still worked perfectly fine when I used it last month.

Been considering a tablet for myself. The N7 is the budget option, looking at the N9 or K1 for the better processor and screen real estate.

The one thing I'd wait for is the N reveal. The one thing the Pixel team ever said in their AMA was that N would make Android tablets far more desirable.

I'm pretty sure that will be because of split screen / multi-window. Will be a great feature for stock Android.

It is more than a great feature, it is needed to compete with the Surface and iPad Pro.

Kinda crazy Android was the first mobile OS to support split screen (thanks to Samsung) and it will also be the last one to support it.

Still have 2 that the kids use. We have a charging problem on one of them, I think due to a loose USB port. Probably just going to get a QI charger and not worry about it.
