Anyone Still Play Darksiders?

Well, as the title asks, does anyone still play Darksiders? I just got it on the PS3 for $14.99 at Amazon and it looks promising.

I just hope the combat is somewhat involved and not just button-mashing like GoW III.

It's nothing fancier than GoW3. You get different weapons and combos as the game progresses, but if you were expecting a complex combo heavy system then you were misled.

It's a great amount of fun, I loved it. It's like you've probably heard--God of War meets Zelda. Just as a heads up, the first hour is the worst part of the game comparably.

Give it a shot and let us know what you think. 🙂

Still play?

I played it a while back.

It is definitely worth $15. The combat isn't any more in-depth than GoW though. It does have lots of Zelda like aspects.

I've been looking to pick it up, that and Dragon Age: Origins are next up on my "to buy" list. What should I grab first?

Darksiders is a fantastic game, I played through it about a month ago. The combat is OK, but the puzzles and item hunting are great.

Dragon Age is exactly what you'd expect from a Bioware game. If you like those, I guess you can't go wrong there. I picked up the Ultimate version with all DLC. Haven't been able to beat the last boss in Origins yet, so I've put it down for the last few days. Maybe I'll give it another go this weekend.

Played it on PC. Amazing game. I really enjoyed the story, gameplay and cutscenes. Paid full price on Steam (50&#8364😉 and it was worth every eurocent! 😀 For $15 it's a STEAL!

just played for a couple of hours yesterday.. was really boring at first.. LOL.. as someone just said..

the combos are pretty fun but I hope it gets better... and I hate those stupid bird-flying missions..

anyway, let's see.. I'm hoping the combat and story gets more involved as it progresses..

I liked the game, though the controls felt a bit busy at times. Not as refined as they could have been. It's pretty challenging though, which is nice for a change. Got stuck on the Tiamat boss fight. Haven't played it for awhile. I should crack it out again.

It was fun for a while but I only made it maybe half way through before getting tired of it. Theres supposed to be some pretty cool combos and gadgets later on but I couldn't find it in me to keep playing.

It was an enjoyable game although the story was pretty ho-hum. The puzzles were quite difficult to figure out at times.

You should go back to it. I thought the Tiamat boss was the hardest fight in the game, mostly due to the sluggish boomerang aiming. The other bosses were all fun but not terribly difficult.
