Anyone still play Battlefield 1942?

The game is kind of old now, but I'm thinking about reinstalling it because I liked the WWII theme of the game. Is it still an active game or have people abandoned it in favor of BF2?
 
yes, there is still even a small active competitive community on TWL. morning/afternoon times are mostly euro servers and evenings there are several good US servers to play on (speaking in US time). still by far the most fun battlefield game.
 
I usually play on the moongamers omaha beach servers. There's always players on it and they have pretty good admin coverage.
 
could't consider it since I'm hooked to bf2 nowadays...I love shock paddling ppl to death...its the ultimate PWNAGE

LOL, yeah, I agree. I get a lot of action towards the end of the game, a time when there is only one base for the opposing army. I sometimes get as much as 50 points in a few minutes from paddling people, reviving others, health points, etc.

 
If I were to play anything it would be BF 1942. I didnt like Battlefield Vietnam or BF 2. Star Wars Battlefront (1 and 2) can only keep my interest for one round at a time.

But since I'm neck deep in Elder Scrolls 4, it may be awhile.
