Heh, I found my old 1991 Sony Walkman DD together with a pair of 1986 Sony earphones (The Gold Digital series). You know those who play casettes.

LOL, it had some 7 to 8 year old batteries in it and it still worked !!! :Q

Heh, I still do. Havne't used it in years. Mine has the digital readout in the middle of the pop-up door where you stick the cassette. It's also got buttons for six AM/FM presets under the readout. 🙂 I got a lot of years out of that thing. It still works, I'd imagine. Gotta be about 13-14 years old at this point. :Q

I bought the very first one back in 1980 and it cost me about $100 bucks which was a lotta money then...

I did and there were only a slight spot of corrosion at the end of a battery.

I paid ~$100 for this in '91. Earplugs were ~$50 back in '86.

My wife still has an old one from the 80s. It is about the size of a brick 🙂 It still works.
