Anyone started a small B&M business in their spare time?

Well I'm looking into possibly starting a smaller type b&m business. This would be one of those businesses that would operate out of the little kiosk places in the middle of shopping malls.

I currently work a 9-5 job however. I would have to hire someone to run the place during the day. So I would only be able to be there on the weekends and evenings during the week.

I am mainly wondering if anyone has started something like this in their spare time, and if so, did it end up working? Or did you have to spend a while at the little business until things were running pretty smoothly before you could go back to your 9-5 job?

I could even probably take 2 weeks off of my B&M job if need be to be there while it starts getting going and everything. I am just wondering if there are any people who have done this in the same type of situation, and the outcome of it.

soo you are going to be at work 9-5. so when do you plan on having this kiosk open? most malls close at 7-9

can it break even on that little time? i guess you would also have the weekends wich i soppose would be the best time.

I planned on having someone else run it during the day time and paying them. It's something that is simple that anyone could do like a retail job at best buy or something.

If I can pull profits like the guy who I would be franchising from makes, I could break even in less than 6 months pretty easily.
