Anyone speak Japanese?

Let me start off by saying Naruto is awesome I've never been a fan of anime, but this show has me hooked. Anyways, I was wondering... when characters refer to each other and say their names, they usually say something afterwards (Naruto kun, Sakura chan, and some others i don't remember). What do all these things mean?
