anyone sell anything on Amazon that doesn't have a UPC?

I've been trying to list a couple things that don't have UPC codes. Amazon keeps throwing a fit about it since they aren't products that Amazon already has.

Anyone know a workaround?

I think Amazon really only likes stuff they can generate info on from their database.

A pro merchant account can create new item pages. It is $40/month to be a pro merchant (though the 99 cent flat closing fee is waived if you are a pro merchant).

It is possible that your product is already in the catalog, just without UPC info. So try searching around by keyword first. But if it doesn't exist in Amazon, you easiest option is eBay (unless you do enough selling to make the $40/month worth it)

I paid the $40 and it still asks for a UPC. That reminds me..I really need to make sure its not on auto renew.

It gives me the option to use an EAN but I don't have one of those either. I can add variants to bypass that, but then each variant needs a UPC.
