whoa this is available at my store. As you can see from my thread here I am looking for a monitor. I have been tossing around the 2405 or 2005 or a hefty CRT for cheapness sake.
I will have to check this out tomorrow.
There is only a 1 year warranty on it though. For CA they charge:

3 - Year Performance Service Plan $500 and Over (Carry-In) Monitor
$119.99

for the extra warranty to tack on.

It's definitely a nice monitor but for $600 + tax you start approaching the price of a Dell 2405 (after coupons). There's people that have gotten a 2405 for around $700 so I'd wait for a coupon on that and get it instead.

A very nice monitor indeed. I hope to see more 20 and 21" models in the future. I wonder if this one has some sort of ergonomic height adjustment?

I don't think it's a bad monitor but forgetting HDCP for a sec (and forgetting what HDCP implies), it's quite similar to a Dell 2005FPW in terms of overall aesthetics. The controls are on the side and the USB ports (more accessible than on the Dell's) on it are also on the side but that's about it. The killer is the same as what 5150Joker states, the price tag and the fact that you're going to get charged tax, taking this close to 2405FPW pricing territory.

But this one is compatible with HD-DVD and since future Vista would pretty much require monitor to be HDCP compliant, it is a more future proof monitor than any Dell's FP line of LCD now.

And let's not forget what a BBY warranty implies. I worked for the Geeksquad for almost a year (money is money) and you do NOT want those things going off to be serviced. Ever. Ever ever ever.

High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. Any monitor/television without it will only be able to display a downsampled 480p HD-DVD/Blue-Ray signal or possibly even nothing at all. Windows Vista will be supporting HDCP as well which seems to make it a "must have" feature to avoid possible future display issues.
