Anyone seen the new credit cards that are out?

I was cashering yesterday (not my choice, it sucks) and someone came through with this new credit card. It was like the barcode of a normal credit card with a big plastic handle thingy.

I dunno if that will turn out but thats the general shape. They are cool but it would be a pain for guys because they won't fit in wallets because of the plastic piece.

i think discover makes their new cards with some kind of funky shape too. it fits in some holder so you can flip it out for swiping. not terribly practical imo

I tried the card, it was about as useful as ads on the left side of the forums. I'm not going to put it on my keys, what if I leave them somewhere?!! and if I did, I'm not going to give my keys to a waitress to pay for my meal!

its one of them key chain credit cards. its so dumb, now if you lose your keys, you'll lose your credit card also!

Not only that, if you see the actual SIZE of the thing it makes it look even more impractical. It's about as big as a normal credit card but like 10x as bulky. WTF is with that?

For a better comparison, I think you should have taken pics of your actual credit cards, not the GNC card

I'll agree that it looks a little on the large side, but a credit card that fits on your keychain isn't a bad idea at all. One less thing to keep track of when going out at night, except of course if you need an ID as well. (I don't get carded very often, so I think I could probably get away with it...)

That does seem pretty pointless. My bank (B of A) just sent me a mini CC that is about 2/3 the size of a normal CC and has a hole so you can attach it to your key ring. Though I don't use it, it seems like a better idea than that huge Discover2go.
