Cool flick about the Marquis de Sade. I was hesitant to rent it, thinking they would glorify this man who was a pretty sick guy. It was well done, though, and was realistic in portraying the man who has been villified and martyred (is THAT a word?
).
They portrayed him as very disturbed, but also examined his writing and its implications. It's a thought provoking movie with a lot of themes that are really poignant in this day when everything is blamed on the media.
Just curious what others who saw it thought?
