Anyone seen the cell?

I haven't seen it yet... All my friends have been too busy w/ the start of school and stuff... They can be such nerds sometimes. I don't want to go alone....soo, I haven't seen it... Opinions: Good or bad movie?
 
i saw it two days ago, it was ok, i wish i would have been intoxicated to enjoy more of the visual trip, but all in all, an ok movie.

they describe it as a mesh of "the matrix meets silence of the lambs"

dont be fooled by that though, this is NO MATRIX and not in the calibre of Silence of the Lambs. The acting isnt oscar calibre, but the visuals are.

Overall a good movie, too bad they didnt go into the technology more

Technology was cheezy, if not laughable. I enjoyed the "entrace into the mind" graphical fest. It made me laugh. They had some interesting detail, ie... the nipple ring "bar" that got ripped, but all in all, I dont understand how this is a good movie. I walked away thinking nothing more, than I just saw a movie. I didn't hate the villian, or cheer for Lopez, or feel sad for the boy. It could've been better with a stronger character development.

I work as a manager in a 11 Screen theatre, and frankly I didnt care for the movie. I would rather see What Lies Beneath [awesome flick], Space Cowboys, hell even Bring It On.

The cell was just not a good mesh of all the "GREAT" movie elements, IMO.

I think I may have to agree. I left thinking "its a good movie", but I can assure you I won't be watching it again - but then I don't care to watch any but my favorite movies more than once anyway.

The movie was made for drugies. One of those movies that rely on a new 'brain' machine that allows others into your brain. The plot was stupid, and so was the acting. I felt like I got ripped off and wanted my money back. Good thing "Space Cowboys" was playing in the next theatre! If you want a psychodelic trip, go see this movie on acid or drunk. You'll enjoy all the pretty colors!
