They played a show at the Commodore here in Vancouver on Saturday night and damn what a great night. The hockey game was on, so they pulled out the big screen and were showing us that before their first set, then recorded some of overtime and showed us that during the second set, allowing us to watch the end of the game before their final set.

Anyways, back to the concert, these guys are really really good. I've seen a lot of live Led Zep stuff on DVDs and what not, and heard a lot of live stuff as well (HTWWW and BBC sessions are my favs) and these guys sound the same. They are officially endorsed by Jimmy Page (and for good reason too).

What's really cool is how they play their concerts. Their first set consisted of Led Zeppelin II. They played every song off of the album, but not as recorded. They played the songs just as Zep would have played them live (15-20 minute versions of Whole Lotta Love and Moby Dick, in which the drum solo was friggin cool). After that, they take a break, then come back out to play the popular hits. And it sounds exactly like Led Zeppelin the entire time.

Even better is they're doing a discography tour I think it's called. They played II this time around, they're coming back in a few months to do I, then again to do III, then IV, etc etc. I think I'm going to go to all of the shows. :)

Oh, and tickets were only $16, or $8 if you got them a bit early :)

Check them out if you get the chance.
