Fish Out of Water in the Deep Blue Sea

Loved the shoes. Loathed the show.

O.K., I exaggerate. I didn?t like the shoes all that much. But the wheel-heeled footwear known as merblades, which allow stage-bound dancers to simulate gliding underwater, provides the only remotely graceful elements in the musical blunderbuss called ?Disney?s The Little Mermaid,? which opened on Thursday at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater.

Dude...you gotta turn in your man-card IMMEDIATELY! Not only did you inquire about such a show, you admit to having already purchased tickets for it...DUM-DUM-DE-DUM...

(however, if you can convince us that this was for a young daughter...we'd consider a suspension instead of a total revocation) :D

Yeah, everything's great under dah sea. Then a school of hammerhead sharks cruise by and eat all the cheerful, noisy fish. Ariel flees in terror, and spends the rest of her life in therapy, rocking back and forth, saying only, "Undah dah sea, undah dah sea..."

For the record, thanks, I now know what he was saying. "In somebody else's lake." I could never understand what the heck he was saying there.

How how is the chick playing Ariel? It'd be nice to be obsessed with a human being rather than the cartoon.

Something tells me he hasn't had a man card for quite a while.

The only thing that comes to mind with 'Under the Sea' is Homer singing 'under the sea, under the sea, there'll be no more accusations, just friendly crustaceans, under the seaaa'
with him eating up all the animals.
