Anyone seen labels pealing off new video cards?

Has anyone seen a label come off a video card? I just got an EVGA card and it has a large label across the front. The label comes lose and hangs off the card only attached at one end. I push it back across the face plate of the card and it sticks to the card and seems secure but a day or two later it is hanging off again. I am worried it might get stuck in my power supply fan or something but I do not want to glue it or tape it because I am afraid those actions could possible void the warranty. So I am going to return the card.

My question, has anyone else experienced this? Is this a rare or common problem?

The label on my PNY GTX 460 was misaligned and had bubbles underneath it. I took it off and cleaned the glue up with alcohol. Looks better without it anyway.

Rip it off like a man. You can replace the defective sticker with alternate designs of your own. Maybe paint it with glow in the dark markers, Tron style. Or stick a cereal box design to the top/sides. Someone tried it and it looked snazzy.

I am concerend that if I ever needed warranty service (which is why I bought EVGA because they have good warranty customer service), a missing label might void warranty.

I heard that peeling off the label unlocks some disabled Cuda cores. I doubt EVGA, known for the best support in the business will void your waranty for peeling off the sticker on the HSF. Now if it were the serial number that is a different story

got a brand new gtx 465 and the serial number on the card was unreadable. looked like it was sort of burned toward the middle of it. never had one peel off though.

IF i were EVGA and you asked to return a card because a sticker was peeling, i think I might actually laugh. Then send a new sticker, and some puffys just for fun. 😀

Actually, a big 35 EVGA sticker might actually be damn cool, except that you'd only see it when the comp was upside down.

As nobody out there has really come up with a good looking sticker on a card yet, I plan on peeling mine off as soon as the card gets here. 😀

Are you talking about the clear sticker on top of the actual sticker with graphics on it? Most EVGA cards come with a clear sticker on top of the real sticker that you're suppose to peel off anyway.
