I like reading Clark Howard's show notes but I wish he would provide links to his info.
Brilliant inventions coming our way
People are constantly inventing gadgets that defy logic and sometimes gravity, but every once in a while one comes along that completely blows our minds. Clark wants to tell you about a couple of these recent inventions because they?re almost too good to be true. The first is a robot-like machine called the ?power suit? that gives people super human strength. The $1,700 suit was created in Japan and will be a great asset in many different professions. It will come in handy in nursing homes where attendants don?t rotate patients often enough because they don?t want to hurt their backs by constantly picking up patients. The suit allows someone to lift another person so easily it?s like barely lifting a finger. It also allows construction workers to lift large bundles of materials at one time. So how does it work? It relays muscle activity to a backpack mounted brain and uses air flow to exert force and strength. Another brilliant invention is skier airbags. A Navy couple developed a ski parka that has radar and senses when you are nearing a tree or other object. Right before the collision, the parka inflates into an airbag and hopefully will cushion the accident. Some developments may seem odd when they?re first introduced, but they often become part of our daily lives as the years pass. We?ll see!
