If u r buying tht mobo..check out the new ECS K7S5A. It's a DDR mobo w/ the fastest chipsets today. Can check out the price at newegg. I think bout the same price. DDR RAm is cheap as well these day. Why go for SDR?

actually, if I remember right. Both of the above mentioned boards have 2 Dimm and 2 DDR slots so you can use either style of ram...i would choose the ECS K7S5A mentioned just for future upgradeability.

i built a computer for my sister with the K7VZA.
everything worked fine, but no overclocking.

its performance and stability is similiar to other kt133a boards, like the iwill kk266
just make sure you have adequate cooling and power supply, and it should be a very stable system

also, if you get this board, i think that it ships with the cmos jumper in the "clear" position,
maybe there is a reason for this, if anyone knows it please tell me.
