Anyone see "The Jacket"?

I thought it was quite good, but then I enjoy alot movies with a time travel theme. I thought it was well done and not too hard to follow as some of the reviews seem to conclude. And it had a happy ending. And it had Keira Knightley in a bathtub. That alone should be enough for AT to rush to the theater.

I liked it, but wasnt it advertised as a horror? I found very little horror in it, much more of a suspense then anything.

I saw it but there was something that didn't make sense to me: in the present day, the doctor told Starks she cured a boy by using ECT on him. The next time Starks goes into the past, he tells the doctor to use ECT on the boy, because she hasn't been able to help him so far. She does use ECT, and it cures him. Where did the idea to use ECT come from? I liked the movie but it seemed like there were a lot of paradoxes like that.

It was ok, but too much of the plot was left unexplained/unresolved. I was waiting for some kind of clever resolution, but it never came.

In terms of dark time travel movies, Donnie Darko was much better.

Well that's a paradox true of every time travel story. There is no beginning or end. This movie doesn't have any inconsistencies that aren't present in any time travel movie or TNG episode that I've ever watched.

Maybe it wasn't "clever", but the resolution came when he went forward in time for the last time, and saw that the girl was no longer a booze hound. He realized that he could not actually live out his life in the future with this girl, but seeing her happy and successful was satisfaction enough.
